Some products work, some are a bust. And sometimes you just find a goldmine find that nobody really knows about. These things must be shared! Here are the top baby products we swear by…

THE DOONA CONVERTIBLE INFANT CAR SEAT/COMPACT STROLLER

If I could recommend one baby product for new parents it would be The Doona. It’s a little pricier, but you’re getting three things in one: a car seat, carrier, and stroller. No struggling with getting your infant in and out of the seat and unfolding the stroller from your trunk (saves trunk space too!) We use it with the base, but it also works without the base as well, making it perfect for travel. It’s AMAZING! We get asked about it all the time when we’re out and about. Can’t brag about this enough.

SHOPPING CART COVER

Germs are yuck. This helpful little guy slides over the child seat of shopping carts. It also has a little padded pillow for babies who are just learning how to sit up. On the front, there’s also a plastic plate so you can stick your phone in and they can watch Sesame Street or whatever as you get your shopping done.

NUROO MULTI-USE COVER

We used this striped Nuroo cover for everything! It stretches over most strollers and carriers to keep the sun out of your baby’s face PLUS it’s a great little cover if you’re nursing in public and don’t want to show the goods to people around you. I also used it while pumping at work. You can also just wear it around your neck as an infinity scarf.

DELTA CHILDREN 4-IN-1 CONVERTIBLE CRIB

If you couldn’t already tell, I love when things are convertible and you’re able to use them in multiple ways. This crib grows with your baby. The height can change as you’re baby starts to stand up (so they don’t crawl out), plus it can be converted into a day bed, toddler bed and with an extra base piece, a full size bed!

BLACKOUT WINDOW FILM

Yes, natural light in your baby’s nursery is gorgeous (and totally Instagram worthy), but Ollie slept so much better once we blacked out his room. We have a light blocking curtain, but light was still coming through the Palladian arch window. Once we popped some window film on it, he started taking better naps. I don’t mess around when it comes to sleep!

SOUND MACHINE

Couldn’t do a baby products roundup without including this. Any sound machine will do, I’m sharing the one that we have. It has multiple settings and a light display as well. When we sleep trained Ollie, this was a key component to our routine. Now, all we need to do is pop on the sound machine, give him a pacifier and his elephant lovie and he puts his head down ready to fall asleep.

MAXI-COSI MAGELLAN ALL-IN-ONE CONVERTIBLE CAR SEAT

While The Doona is amazing, it’s only usable for a certain amount of time. Once Ollie got too big for it, we switched to the Maxi-Cosi Magellan Convertible Car Seat. You can actually use it from birth to 10 years old if you need to! It has a 7-position recline, 3 adjustable torso height positions and 14 headrest heights. It’s also SO comfortable! Truly everything you need in one.

NUROO SWADDLE

There are so many swaddles on the market, but the Nuroo Swaddle was one of our favorites! It has Velcro, making it really easy to use. It helps the baby feel like he/she is still in the womb, which is comforting and allows them to fall to sleep easier. It’s also made out of super soft fabric! Ollie loved his Nuroo Swaddles.
