Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! I love tonight because you can get dressed in all the sparkles, glitter and jewels you want! I normally don’t wear sequins… but if I were to pull a full on Mariah Carey it would be tonight!
These two outfits give you a little sparkle without going overboard (but if you want to dress in head to toe glitzy glam I’ll be the first one to give you two big thumbs up!).
It’s been quite a year, but I’m really looking forward to what 2015 holds. I just know It’s going to be a great one. I can feel it!
So what are your New Year’s Eve plans?
Modern with Modani
Hello everyone! I’ve decided to venture out of my fashion comfort zone and try creating…well… a COMFORT ZONE!
I’m very much into the modern look for homes. But, let’s face it, sometimes the contemporary pieces just look cold. Am I right? That’s what I like about Modani. It offers the look I like, but it also looks comfortable enough to live in.
- A major pices for me would of course be the couch. I’m not a sitter. I do not sit like a normal human being. I’m almost always lounging, laying and oftentimes napping on our couch. Which is why this particular sectional caught my eye. A bonus? It’s extremely versatile. You can mix and match the pieces you want to fit your personal living space. But this is just one of many. Check out what else Modani offers by clicking here.
- Another biggie for me is accessories. Just like an outfit, they can add personality to your look. I love the bull sculpture because I’m a Taurus. The structure of this clock also caught my eye because, to me, it looks futuristic and old fashioned all at the same time. Lord knows I love a good ironic piece.
- What I like most about what the mirror is what it symbolizes. It’s all broken up. Seeing this everyday would remind me to “see things differently.”
- As for the tree picture? In just about every room of my house there is either a picture, a plant or decals of outdoor elements. I find it incredibly soothing. Nature does that to people. (And if you’re more of an “indoors person”, what better way to get in touch with nature than bringing it into your home? No bug spray required!)
Thanks for stopping by, and if anything catches your eye – you can find it all at Modani.com !
Life is Beautiful
Kanye West, Lionel Richie, Girl Talk, The Roots, Matt & Kim – and that’s not even touching all that’s playing at the Life is Beautiful Festival this weekend! It’s taken over Las Vegas and it’s going to be amazing. I’ve got the outfit… now all I need is a ticket… hmmm. 🙂
I’ll just boost my volume up and dance in my living room while I figure that out.
Starting with my favorite song from Matt & Kim.
Have a great weekend everyone!

“Bringin’ Booty Baaaack…” (All under $100!!!)
It’s that time! I looove me some boots of ANY kind, but the over-the-knee style is definitely one of my favorites. When they’re flat, they give your outfit a little something extra, and the heeled versions make you look like you have legs for dayz (yes… with a “z”).
I love pairing them with skinny pants, but they also look great with midi skirts and dresses.
The heel of my favorite over-the-knee boots broke last year, so I’ll definitely be purchasing one of these styles. Hey – they’re under $100!

Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse Grand Opening
Hey all! Here are some shots from the Grand Opening of Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse at Downtown Summerlin. I was seriously blown away by all that they had! From converse sneakers to booties and evening dress shoes, they have everything! I also LOVE that Betsy Johnson has a partnership with them. You can see a few of her styles in the 4th picture from the top.
I can’t wait to go back and snag a pair!
RIP IT UP

‘Maxi’mize your fall wardrobe
It’s October! I’ve said before that fall is my favorite season, but October is the “beez neez” when it comes to the fall months. Halloween, cooler temps and the best clothes!
I just got this faux leather jacket and I’m loving it. It fits like a gem, and the arms are just big enough that you can wear a sweater underneath when it gets a little cooler. (I feel like this right now ).
As for the skirt – it’s actually a maxi dress I’ve had for YEARS. I never really wear it anymore, but when turned into a skirt it’s like I have a brand new piece. (Another exciting moment).
Hope your October is off to a great start!

When you live in Las Vegas you get used to seeing girl after girl after girl after…(you get the point) wearing the same old little black dress. I admit, before I lived here I would pack my “Vegasy” dresses that I’d never wear anywhere else because they were too tight, too short, and let’s face it, if you’re dancing you WILL have a wardrobe malfunction.
So, if I’m going out and want to get “fancy-shmancy”I like to wear a jumpsuit / romper. For one – it sets you apart from the giant “black bandage sea”. (I know you know what I’m talking about). They’re also comfortable, classy, stylish and you can actually move in them! And if you’re wanting to get noticed, this will do it. A bonus? You don’t have to constantly worry about crossing your legs in fear of showing… well… you get the point.
So here’s to all you Vegas visitors out there, whom I love and adore, let’s rise above the skin-tight belts that ladies like to pass off as “dresses” – and get to stunnin’ in some sleek and sexy rompers!
Oh – and did I mention? Everything you see here is under $100 (shoes included). Which leaves you for more money to spend at the craps table! Cheers!

I’m Blushing…
I’m Blushing… by lindsey-simon featuring Ray-Ban
Let’s be clear… I do NOT like pink. I have some pink items in my closet, but I’ve never really felt good wearing the color.(Maybe it’s because when you’re younger you’re told “pink is for girls and blue is for boys”. I don’t like being told what to do. I can be very stubborn!) However, for some reason I’m LOVING the “Lush Blush” trend lately! I’m partial to neutrals, and it’s so easy to incorporate this light color into a neutral outfit. A blush coat is most definitely on my “wish list” for fall!

My Fall Style Staples
Fall takes a little more time to really set in here in Vegas, but I don’t care! I’ve already taken out my fall clothes and I’m not turning back. Fall is by far my favorite season. It’s not just because of the fashion. Wait. Never mind. It is because of the fashion.
I’ve found that there are a couple of key pieces that I’m always turning towards during the fall months, and these are a few of my favorites.
I love blazers, burgundy ANYTHING, dark nails, leopard heels and of course you always need a good collared white shirt for layering.
I also like to pretend I’m still back in elementary school and go “school shopping” for the fall. If you do the same, then you’ll love raise.com. They offer discounted gift cards to all my favorite places! From Macy’s to Zara, h&m, Forever21 and so much more! They even have home design stores like Pottery Barn (swoon). Better yet – you can also sell your gift cards that you don’t want and earn points for it. I highly recommend checking it out.
Thanks for stopping by!
