I’ll be honest, I’ve never really been a fan of rose-scented perfumes. But when Dana Classic Fragrances asked me to try out their Tabu Rose scent I thought, ‘why not?’ If I don’t like it I’ll send it back. If I do – that’s great! Well I actually really like the fragrance – and after doing a little research, now I can understand exactly why.

New York Fashion Week is in full-swing, but here on the other side of the Mississippi, we’re holding our own with a style soiree that is equal parts glamorous and generous. Style With a Cause took place this past Wednesday night at Fashion Show mall here in Las Vegas and I was lucky enough to attend.

Bandanas and neck scarves have been my favorite accessory to wear this summer, and I imagine they’ll continue their reign in the fashion world well into the fall season.

Happy Labor Day everyone! In my former life as a TV producer and reporter I would wake up and do full hair and makeup every day. Sometimes TWICE a day if I was doing a report later in the afternoon (by that point I had mascara flakes forming a colony under my eyes and all the hair on my head lost it’s battle with gravity, despite the best efforts from the many layers of hairspray I used). So, now that I don’t have to do that every day, I’m really trying to take better care of my skin and hair. That’s why I’ve adopted a new hair care routine that seems to be working really well!

When the seasons change, so should your polish! Fall fashion isn’t limited to cozy sweaters and jazzy jackets – it includes your fingers too. To stay on trend, you’ll want to trade out your go-to mani/pedi color to something a little more in season.
One of my favorite fall trends is most definitely the bomber jacket. I love ALL jackets really, but the bomber jacket is so easy to style… and did I mention how comfy it is?! I especially love this one from gojane.com because it’s two jackets in one!

You may have noticed (especially if you follow me on Instagram) that I like to rework and re-style pieces in my closet. I like purchasing clothing I know I can wear over and over again – and this denim skirt is a prime example.

When we were younger, back to school time meant back three things. 1. Earlier bedtime (gross) 2. Homework (ugh) 3. Back to school shopping! We would donate clothes we’d grown out of and get to pick out some new items for the upcoming school year. Now, even though I’m TECHNICALLY a grown-up (I use the term loosely) I still love going on a little bit of a fall shopping spree.
