More looks from my very first New York Fashion Week!
I had the BEST time during this trip. Mostly because I was experiencing it all with my sister, but also because it was a goal that I’ve had for the longest time. I had a blast putting my NYFW outfits together, and I’m happy that I’m able to share them with you. As always, I like to mix high and low budget points (yes, even during fashion week) and tried my best to link the exact items for you. If I wasn’t able to find the exact match, I found something similar. So here we go…
AFTER THE SON JUNG WAN FASHION SHOW
This is what I wore for the Son Jung Wan Fashion Show, which was incredible by the way. It was freezing this day, so I doubled up on my coat situation. Even with the cold temps, I wanted to wear something colorful. I feel like the tan coats toned down the bright colors of the rest of my outfit.
BAG: Rebecca Minkoff (sold out, but also LOVE this one)// COAT 1: Cinzia Rocca // COAT 2: BB Dakota // PANTS: asos // SWEATER: h&m (similar here) // EARRINGS: APM Monaco
LUNCH IN MIDTOWN
We grabbed salads and fruit (and, OK, maybe some Chinese orange chicken) at a place called The Green Apple in Midtown. I also spent a fortune on two bottles of wine for the room, but it was necessary.
PANTS: Tibi // SWEATER: asos // BOOTS: Public Desire (sold out, similar here) // TURTLENECK: Zara (similar here)
STROLLING THE CITY
I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but my sister took all of my photos during this trip. I’m so thankful we got to experience this trip together! We were only there for a few days, but it was the perfect amount of time to see a few shows, eat some good food, grab some drinks and just catch up.
JACKET: Wren and Glory // BAG: Gucci // PANTS: h&m // BOOTS: Norstrom Rack – McKinley // HAT: asos
DINNER IN MANHATTAN
So, I actually changed my outfit before we went out for dinner our last night. But, this is what I originally had on while waiting in the hotel for our uber. I love faux fur coats, but rarely get to wear them in Vegas. If there was ever a time to break out the flashy furs… it was NYFW.
COAT: Apparis (more affordable options here and here) // BOOTS: Public Desire (sold out, similar here) // JEANS: Tommy Hilfiger (similar here) // EARRINGS: Express
And that’s a wrap! Like I said, we were only in New York for a little while, but definitely made the most of it. I’d like to stay longer next time so I’m able to see more shows, but having a 7 month old at home… I just didn’t feel comfortable being gone for too long.
Thank you all for following along this journey with me and for all your sweet comments and dm’s during NYFW. This was a goal that I set for myself back in 2016, so to actually be able to experience it was absolutely unreal. Feeling incredibly grateful to be able to do what I love and have a job that also allows me to be a hands-on mother. It really is thanks to you all. I appreciate you more than you know.
Love, Lindsey
