Lindsey’s Love List (Under $50 edition)

1. Army Green Romper

2. Nautical Rope Necklace
3. Colorful Clutch

4. Frayed mint jacket

5. Abstract Print Heels

Ok, I admit it!  It’s been awhile since my last post, but things have been super busy around here!I haven’t had time to upload any looks yet. But they’re coming! In the meantime… I’m posting a few pieces that I’m loving right now… and everything is under $50! Ladies who are on a budget rejoice!

1. Army Green Romper: It’s as hot as a flaming faijta plate outside. (You know, the ones that they tell you to be careful with because they’re scorching and you touch it anyway because you have issues with being told what you can and cannot do). Anyhoo…if there’s one thing I like to wear when I feel like avoiding a heat stroke – it’s rompers. This one from sheinside.com caught my eye because it’s somewhat structured and you can restyle it for the fall. And at under $20? Hello! You’d get your money’s worth after one wear! It will also pair nicely with gold jewelry… which brings me to my next “love piece”…

2. Nautical Rope Necklace: This gorgeous necklace is from BaubleBar’s new collection – and it’s inspired by their social media director Grace Atwood, who grew up in Cape Cod! I especially love it because it would look great alone OR with other layered necklaces. P.S. it’s only $38.

3. Colorful Clutch: Found this gem on pixiemarket.com. I love big clutches because I’m a pack rat and I need my things. This one will work with bold color dresses or even just jeans, heels and a white tee. Only $38. (This clutch is similar to the turquoise version I posted on Nomis Niche here and here.)

4. Frayed Mint Jacket: I love this jacket from Zara because it’s structured and is really easy to incorporate in your wardrobe. Best part? It’s on sale! Originally $89.99 – now it’s $39.99!

5. Abstract Print Heels: I’ve been looking for tribal print heels for awhile now. Believe it or not,  I found what I was looking for on gojane.com for under $30! I’d pair them with a midi-length skirt and a crop top with a bright clutch.

Hope you all are having a great start to your week!
Love,
Lindsey

Peachy Keen

Haven’t worn these pants for about two years! I got them when that “peach / coral craze” was going on, but then got sick of them. They’ve been in the back of my closet for all this time and I thought it was time to bust ’em out!
I’ve also been wearing this necklace a lot more. It’s so versatile and can make even the most boring outfits look a little more pulled together.

Top: H&M
Vest: New York & Co.

Belted Blazer

I don’t care what color, what style, what brand… I love blazers. I’ll buy them from inexpensive stores, and then take them to the seamstress to make them look higher end. Just ask your seamstress to take in the arms, and then when they think they have it right… ask them to take them in a little more.
I also love belting blazers because I feel like it gives it a different look and can accentuate your waist. This is actually a very lose dress… but the blazer and belt make it look fitted.

Thanks for stopping by!
Love, Lindsey

TomBoy

So… I was feeling a little bit like a tomboy the day I wore this. Sometimes I just want to wear baggy shorts and comfy shoes alright? Ha! I figured some red lipstick would make it a little more “girly” so I threw some of that on (my lips AND my finger). While I don’t normally wear the ‘big bun’ a lot, I’ve found sometimes it’s just easier with the heat.
Hope you all had a great weekend

DYLAN

Band and artist tees are a go to for me.Whether you’re wearing them with ripped jeans, cutoffs or dress them up with skirts and blazers, they’re so versatile. This one is actually from the guys section, but I “girl it up” by rolling up the sleeves a bit and tucking it into high waisted pants or skirts.
I also like the look of pairing sneakers with skirts. I think it dresses this red leather skirt down a bit.

Hope you all have a very happy Friday!
Love, Lindsey

Muted Tie-Dye

I usually don’t like showing my midriff, but this is so slight I thought what the heck.
The high neck also makes it seem a little more conservative, which I like. I think I was drawn to this print because as a kid I LOVED tie-dye. This muted version seems more wearable, and a little more 2014… a little less 1965.
Hope you all are having a terrific Tuesday. Since I’m in the musical mood – why not share a “Tuesday Tune”? I’ve been listening to Ed Sheeran’s new album quite a bit – and can’t seem to get this song
 out of my head. Enjoy!

Black, White and Leather

For those of you that work in freezing cold offices like I do, this is a good outfit option for you. Layers are your friend! I love this sweater because it’s just breathable enough so that it keeps you warm without making you melt. It also looks great layered over colored blouses because it allows for some color to pop through.
For MY pop of color – I painted my tootsies a bright blue. When worn on my finger nails, I feel like I’m in 7th grade again, but on the feet it’s not so bad. (At least that’s my story – and I’m sticking to it!)

Skirt: h&m (old but also love this version )
Shoes: Dolce Vita
Sweater: Dynamite
Shirt: h&m
Clutch: Express (old)
Earrings: forever21
Watch: New York & Co.

Dressed in Black

When I’m in a rush and need to quickly pick out something to wear I almost always dress in all black. With mixed fabrics it comes on more chic than gothic. For this look I took an old dress, layered a leather skirt over it and POOF – it’s an entirely new look!
What’s your go to outfit when you’re in a rush? Let me know! Also, follow me on bloglovin’ for weekly updates on my posts. Thanks for stopping by!
