Happy Friday everyone! Today I’m getting back to my roots when it comes to personal style…
SHOP MY LOOK:
I love mixing feminine and masculine pieces (hello sneakers and gold pleated midi skirts!). But, if I had to choose one “style” that makes me feel the most comfortable in my own skin, it is the boho vibe that Free People offers. (Before I go any further, I want you to know this is not a paid for advertisement, nor have I received any type of free gift from this post. I’m speaking from the heart on a brand I love).
Free People is a brand that speaks to the free spirits. It’s a brand for the woman who wants to travel. A brand for the woman who’s breaking the norms of what a “woman” should be. A brand that praises women who make their own rules and TAKE RISKS!
It’s a brand that reminds me of who I was…
The girl who loved playing her guitar and singing at local collage bars. The girl who understood that everything happens for a reason. The girl that believed she was was put on this earth for something greater than herself. The girl who didn’t look in the mirror and got upset over wrinkles. The girl who felt comfortable in her own skin – even without makeup. The girl who spoke up for herself. The girl who felt smart. The girl who believed she could achieve anything she put her mind to as long as she worked hard.
I know it seems so crazy.. but when I wear this type of clothing it reminds me of who I was. Who I want to be again.
I’m just now getting back to that girl. And I have to tell you… it feels DAMN GOOD!
Sorry if I seem long-winded, but I truly believe that what you wear can make a huge impact on how you feel. Your outfit can make you feel confident and ready to take on the world!
