Half cat, half lady. Read on to find out how to get this PURR-rect makeup look for Halloween!
HALLOWEEN OBSESSED
If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I LOVE Halloween. I’ve created a few looks on my own in the past (you can see them here, here and here). But, this time around I decided to call in the big guns.
I stopped by the MAC Pro store at Fashion Show Las Vegas to see if I could get a cool Halloween makeup look that was cool and unique, but also required minimal effort when it comes to the costume. I mean really… this makeup speaks for itself! All you’d need is an all-black outfit and maybe a cool wig if you’re feelin’ saucy.
THE EXPERIENCE
Honestly, everyone I met at the MAC Pro Store at Fashion Show (located by Forever 21) was so nice and you can tell they love their job. Earinn (@king_glitter) is the boss babe responsible for this look and she absolutely KILLED it! Not only is she incredibly talented, but she’s also just a blast to be around.
First thing we did when I walked in is have a little conversation about what look we wanted. After scrolling through Instagram, we saw a post by @thetrashmask and felt inspired! Earinn went to work and NAILED IT! This is a testament to her talent. She had ZERO prep time and was able to re-create a look in her own vision. To say I’m impressed would be a gross understatement.

THE PRODUCTS
What I love about the products Earinn used is that you can incorporate them in your regular (non-Halloween) makeup routine too, If you’re artistic and would like to re-create this look on your own, here are the products she used. Most of them can only be found at the MAC Cosmetics Pro store, so make sure to stop in and tell them Lindsey sent you!
PRIMER: Prep+ Prime Fix+ Makeup Setting Spray in “Lavender”. Smells amazing and kept my skin looking hydrated, but not greasy.
BLACK USED FOR THE CAT FACE: Chromaline in “Black Black” (can also be used as eyeliner!)
BLACK EYESHADOW ON EYELID: MAC eyeshadow in “carbon”. I actually own this eyeshadow. Looks great for smokey eye looks. You can also mix it with MAC’s MIXING MEDIUM to create a fluid liner.
WHITE DETAILS: Chromaline in “Pure White”. She applied with a couple of different brushes and blended as needed.
PURPLE EYESHADOW: Chromaline in “Rich Purple”. It’s so pretty and super pigmented, but buildable as well! *Aerin’s tip: Use different brushes for blending it out. She used a brush for application, and a few other brushes for blending.
SILVER NOSE: Pigment in “Silver Fog”. She mixed it with the MIXING MEDIUM previously mentioned. It’s so pretty, and stayed even with my runny nose (TMI? I don’t know, but I felt like I had to share).
LIPS: Combination of the Chromaline colors.
FOUNDATION: Studio Fix in NW15. It matched my skin perfectly and has really great coverage. She applied with a sponge for that flawless look.
UNDEREYE CONCEALER: Studio Fix 24 Hour Wear in NW20.
CONTOUR: Studio Fix Soft Matte Foundation Stick. She used a few shades darker than my regular skin tone and applied it to the hollows of my cheeks.
HIGHLIGHTER: Mineralize in “Lightscape”. Gonna buy this ASAP because I felt like JLO.
GLITTER ACCENTS: MAC Glitter. I’m pretty sure she used the color “Silver”, but there are so many beautiful colors and I definitely want to get them for regular makeup looks. SO PRETTY!
LASHES: Top: 75. Bottom: 7.
SETTING SPRAY: Prep+ Prime Fix+ Makeup Setting Spray. I actually went home, ate dinner, reorganized the house and this makeup didn’t budge. My husband even said, “your lipstick is still on!”
LAST WORDS
Of course these products were used for a Halloween makeup look, but they can also all be used for regular makeup looks as well. I’m impressed by the staying power, and I’ve already purchased a few of their products to use at home.
If you’re artistic and want to create this look at home, make sure to tag me on Instagram (@lindseygurk) so I can re-share! If you love the look, but would rather have a pro do it… make an appointment at the MAC Pro store at Fashion Show. They’re amazing!!!!!
Love, Lindsey
