Plaid has always been a favorite of mine, and this season the print is being made in so many styles and colors it’s definitely giving me ALL the 90’s vibes.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN IT
Outside of every 90’s movie, plaid was seen all over the runways during New York Fashion Week back in February as fashion houses and brands showcased their styles for the fall/winter season. Now, as we are getting a glimpse into what we can expect to see for the spring and summer season, bloggers and style icons are walking the New York City streets rocking plaid prints on everything from pants and purses to dresses and designer shoes.
THE PANTS
I’m definitely going full on 90’s with my plaid this season. I found these Wild Fable plaid pants at Target (under $30!) and loved how they fit! They have a little bit of stretch and are high rise, so they look great with a tucked in top. I also like the unexpected yellow.
HOW TO STYLE THEM
I plan on wearing these pants all season long in a variety of ways. I’ll be pairing them with a cropped yellow sweater and black stilettos. I also like the idea of wearing them with a cream sweater, denim jacket and combat boots. Maybe I should do a post on all the ways they can be worn!
THE TEE
I also love this amour tee. It’s the perfect tee to wear tucked into pants, jeans or midi skirts. I’d even wear it underneath a slip dress to make it a little more casual.
THE SHOES
I bought these white sling-back pumps awhile back (sold out, but similar here and I love this capped toe version as well. ) and only got to wear them a few times before my ankles started to expand BIG TIME during my pregnancy. I find a lower heel looks best with regular-sized ankles – ha!
THE SUNNIES
Heart-shaped sunnies are another great accessory. I have this pair in multiple colors. They make any outfit look a little more feminine and a lot more interesting.
FINAL TOUCHES
Finally, I paired the look off with a white quilted chain strap cross body purse (similar here) and a bold lip. I’m currently loving Red Carpet Red by Charlotte Tilbury!
