HOW TO STYLE 1 SLIP DRESS 4 WAYS

I asked you what you wanted more of in 2017 from The Nomis Niche, and a lot of you said you wanted to see how I styled one piece multiple ways. Well friends… I heard ya! Read on to see how I’m styling the slip dress over and over and over again. (I’ve also added a few other options not pictured for some extra #outfitinspo)…

WITH A FLUTE OR BELL SLEEVE BLOUSE:

I love layering with slip dresses, and this flute-sleeve blouse is one of my new favorite layering pieces. Good news, this top is on sale for $10! Get it quickly before it sells out. Trust… you won’t regret it. I’ve been layering it under dresses and other tops. It also looks great alone tucked into high waisted jeans.

THROW ON A LEATHER JACKET: The lace of this lip dress is very feminine (which I love). To add some edge, I paired it with a leather jacket and my favorite sock booties. Feminine and edgy is my favorite outfit combo. It says… “I like romantic movies, but I can also kick your arse with a beer in hand.”

GO CASUAL WITH AN OVER-SIZED SWEATER AND SNEAKS:

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I’m a HUGE proponent of comfy casual outfits. I will literally take pajama pieces and create an outfit out of them. It’s not because I’m “street-style savvy” or anything like that… I just love to be in PJ’s. I’ve worn this outfit MULTIPLE times to the grocery store. Actually, Mark, my favorite fruit guy, made a comment about it a few Sundays ago. Now I feel like I need to retire this outfit. Bummer.

STRIPES AND SNEAKS:

If you’re not into PJ-style outfits (see my PJ inspired street-style outfit HERE), this is a great casual look that is still casual, but you won’t feel so much like Miss Hannigan from Annie.

***Sidenote: I applied for the Miss Hannigan part in our Middle School play. I didn’t get it. I DID however get the part of orphan “Kerri”… which I’m pretty sure they made up. My only lines were… “Now, ladies and gentlemen… the incredible Boylin sisters!” Totally nailed it though. #ThereAreNoSmallParts

OTHER OPTIONS:

WITH A TURTLENECK: It’s such an easy way to winterize this dress! Throw a turtleneck underneath and you’ll stay warm while lookin’ cool (yes, I realized how dumb that sounds, but I had to put it in there.)

WITH A BOMBER JACKET: I mean seriously… the slip dress is a perfect match for a bomber jacket! Feminine and edgy combined in perfect harmony. #NailedIt

WITH A WHITE TEE: It’s the way most fashion bloggers style their slip dresses when the weather is warmer. I personally love it because I can easily weary my ugly nude grandma sports bra underneath and no one knows the difference. Well… until now I guess. #GrannyStyle #DontJudge
