How is your summer going? Good I hope! This has definitely been a summer to remember for our family, and I wanted to make sure to keep those memories alive for decades to come.
SUMMER OF 2018
So far, this has been one amazing summer. We welcomed our little boy, Oliver, into the world on June 26th and ever since we’ve just been spending time cuddling and loving on one another. However, as much as I try to hold on to every second spent with our little one, time is definitely moving fast. I wanted to make sure we captured these special memories, especially the day he was born. So, I created a few items on Snapfish!
KEEPING THE MEMORIES ALIVE
Thankfully, one of the nurses took a bunch of photos for us when Ollie was born. We have a ton of pictures of the first time Mike and I held him, photos of family members holding him, his first bath… everything! We also had a newborn photoshoot with Ollie and were thrilled with how good they turned out. So, instead of just keeping all these pictures on my phone, I thought it would be nice to put them all together in a photo book. It’s something that we can look at over and over again, but it’s also something that Ollie will have forever. I recently came across my own baby book and it was so cool flipping through everything. I knew it was something I wanted Ollie to have as well.
In addition to the book, Mike and I decided to send out a few baby announcements using some of the newborn photos we had taken. In this day in age, most birth announcements are done on social media. But, there’s something about sending one in the mail that seems so special.
BENEFITS OF USING SNAPFISH
The best thing about Snapfish, is that it’s really easy to create whatever keepsake you want. For instance, the baby announcements took all of about five minutes because they already have beautiful presets for you. All you need to do is upload your photos and fill in the blanks!
The book was also so much fun to make because I could add my own little touches. I included some tidbits that explained how Mike and I were feeling the day Ollie was born, as well as some of our favorite little poems. They also have a variety of little embellishments that make your creation beautiful and unique.
I’m so happy with how the Snapfish creations turned out, I can’t wait to make more! I’m so excited for the many summers ahead and the adventures we’ll go on, not just as a couple anymore, but as a family of three!
